Water Security: Building Livelihoods, Community Resilience & Resource Security 3/3
This webinar series, Water Management and Resilience, was created in response to requests from communities seeking permaculture-based water catchment solutions. Timor-Leste communities share their experiences in organising local efforts, designing, and implementing water security systems in a region with a hot tropical climate, where reliable water access is crucial for daily life and agriculture, especially in areas without nearby rivers.
In this third webinar Eugenio (Ego) Lemos (Executive Director, Permatil Timor-Leste), Izu Pereira (PermaYouth TL Director), Lachlan McKenzie (Co-founder & Director, Permatil Global Australia) along with other Permatil and PermaYouth staff, outline the critical role of water security in strengthening livelihoods, community resilience, sustainable development, economic opportunities, and long-term resource security.
This series was organised in partnership with Permatil Global, Permatil Timor-Leste, and the Permaculture Association Britain, with support from Münster University. Special thanks to Prof. Dr. Thomas Stodulka, Professor of Social and Cultural Anthropology; and Rabia Beyza Asoglu (Münster University) for editing the webinar recordings.
