I'm a MESS after watching 8x14. It's so sad -- Lana and Clark were finally together, without all the secrets and lies, as *equals* (with her abilities/powers from the suit). And then they sacrificed their love for the greater good... It's awful and tragic, but really good storytelling and acting. If Lana had to leave, then I'm glad her character got the send-off she did. Lana's journey over the seasons was absolutely amazing, and she definitely redeemed herself in the end.
I'm not sure how much I'll like the show without Lana and Lex. It's bad enough without the Kents and Lionel, but now hardly any of the original characters are on the show. I am looking forward to seeing Chloe/Oliver together, though, and FINALLY see Clark put on the Superman suit...
