Dawoud Bey’s photographic and film works in the exhibition Dawoud Bey: Elegy, capture American landscapes that have historical significance. VMFA's Izzie Fuqua, the educator for the exhibition, explored connections to artworks in the museum's permanent collection that also focus on the importance of landscapes and the messages they hold.
