Calls for the restoration of the monarchy are rising once again in Nepal. But what would actually happen if the monarchy returns? Would it change anything in your daily life? Could it solve Nepal’s political instability and economic crisis or bring national unity?

In this video, we explore the growing support for a ceremonial king, the reasons behind the royalist movement, and whether reinstating the monarchy could realistically help Nepal develop. We also look at the risks—especially the possibility of monarchy overreach—through Nepal’s own political history.
