Sight Size Master Copy Using a Book

I recently purchased a used copy of Carter Ratcliff’s great book on John Singer Sargent.
In this video I copy a small reproduction of Sargent’s excellent portrait of his father from 1883. It took about two hours for this sight-size sketch on Canson paper. Mostly I used three brushes- a small liner for details, a bristle filbert for blocking in, and a nylon flat. The colors I used: Titanium mixed w Lead white, Yellow ochre, Raw Sienna, Cadmium red light, Alizarin crimson, Burnt Sienna, Raw umber, Ivory black, Cobalt blue, and Viridian.
