The Porsche Frauscher 850 Fantom Air is an electric day cruiser developed through a collaboration between Porsche and Austrian boatbuilder Frauscher. This 8.67-meter (28.4-foot) vessel is powered by the same electric drive technology found in the Porsche Taycan, featuring the Performance Battery Plus with a gross capacity of 100 kWh and a permanently excited synchronous motor delivering up to 400 kW (536 hp) in overboost mode. The system offers efficient torque delivery, enabling quick acceleration and quiet operation on water. The electric drivetrain is managed by Porsche’s proprietary power electronics and cooling systems, ensuring thermal stability and energy optimization. The hull, designed for stability and planing efficiency, allows speeds of up to 85 km/h (approx. 46 knots), with a cruising range of around 45 km at 41 km/h. The boat accommodates up to nine passengers and includes high-end marine-grade materials and infotainment features. Charging is supported via DC fast charging at rates up to 250 kW, enabling an 80% charge in under 30 minutes under optimal conditions.
