If you dislike exercise you're in good company, but we cannot deny the amazing benefits of exercise.
If you're sedentary and don't see yourself buying a gym membership, I have good news for you.
It's called VILPA which stands for Vigorous Intermittent Lifestyle Activity. That doesn't role off the tongue easily, so let's call it Exercise "Snacks" instead!
You do it for only 1 to 2 minutes at a time and you should aim for 6 to 9 minutes per day in total. Every 30 to 60 minutes is a good interval between these "snacks" so just set a timer for yourself to keep on track.
The goal is to get your heart rate to 70% of maximum, so you'll be huffing and puffing. The activities include running up the stairs, jumping jacks, high knees, air squats, etc. Try to engage a friend alongside to make it more fun.
The benefits? It decreases your risk of cancer mortality by 40%, it decreases your risk of heart disease mortality by 50% and overall decreases all-cause mortality.
That's worth a minute of effort a few times per day, don't you think?
You'll also burn or calories so you may lose some weight too.
