First of all...Free EDM samples! Slate Digital just released an EDM sample pack- which includes tons of midi edm sample loops. Drop a chord progression into your session and have the flexibility to change notes around, change the instrument- FX, anything you want really. A real game changer that opens things up if you're stuck on inspiration, or if you have no knowledge of chords/riffs and need something to start from. It's 100% free- so you've basically got nothing to lose.

After producing the actual track, the next step here was to introduce those lofi beat flavours using the Tascam Portastudio 424 mkii. I would consider this hardware to be the 90s version of a DAW. Great for pitching down your tracks and samples for that buttery, earthy goodness- you know what i'm all about my peeps.
