Typhoon Goni (#RollyPH) Rapidly Intensifying - Live Update

Typhoon Goni has entered the Philippine are of responsibility and has been given the name Rolly by PAGASA. The typhoon has been rapidly intensifying today and is already a category 4 on the Saffir Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale, with winds near 145mph (230kph). Further intensification is currently forecast, and Goni is likely to become a super typhoon.

Typhoon Goni is expected to make landfall in southern Luzon this weekend, and is forecast to be a major typhoon at that point in time, with major impacts where the storm comes onshore. All residents of Luzon should monitor the development of Goni (Rolly) very closely in the coming days.
