𝙃𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝙚𝙚𝙠 𝙎𝙤𝙥𝙝𝙞𝙚: The food historian with Singapore’s biggest kueh mould collection

Most of us reach for cakes or cookies when we think of sweet treats. Meet Jasmine, kueh-obsessed food historian, who is on a mission to change that!

Jasmine has spent 30 years collecting over 300 kueh moulds — and every single one has a story. Our favourite? Learning that Kuih Bahulu, a common snack during CNY and Hari Raya, was inspired by Madeleines! Talk about ingenuity and adapting something foreign in a totally new local way.

You’ll also get to sip tea, enjoy a kueh tasting, and choose to either paint a clay kueh magnet made from antique moulds, or make fresh kueh from scratch.

Through this @seeksophiesg experience, Jasmine hopes we will see kueh not just as a nostalgic childhood snack, but as a delicious, meaningful alternative to the Western pastries we usually reach for.
