Let's dive into another easy and scrap busting quilt pattern. Upsize or downsize to make it the quilt size you want it to be by changing the number of columns and rows. The one demonstrated measures50 x 56" without additional borders.

Here is the breakdown to make this quilt:
12 Blocks each measures 10.5 x 14.5" unfinished and are constructed using (all measurements are unfinished and include a 1/4" seam allowance
2 scrappy blocks that measure 4.5 x 8.5"
2 scrappy blocks that measure 4.5 x 4.5"
2 dark background potato chips 4.5 x 2.5"
1 dark background strip 2.5 x 14.5"

Additional strips required in your chosen background fabric:
12 strips at 2.5 x 10.5"
4 strips at 2.5 x 12.5"
12 strips at 2.5 x 16.5"
3 strips at 2.5 x 18.5"

OPTIONAL to create the vertical format as shown in the final layout.
Construct 3 blocks that measures 12.5 x 6.5", each block uses
1 dark background 8.5 x 6.5"
1 dark strip at 2.5 x 6.5"
2 dark 2.5" squares
1 highlight color 2.5" square

Construct 1 block that measures 12.5 x 8.5, that uses the following fabric
1 dark background 8.5 x 6.5"
1 dark strip at 2.5 x 6.5"
1 dark strip at 2.5 x 12.5"
2 dark 2.5" squares
1 highlight color 2.5" square

The blocks use an assembly of the main blocks 4 across x 3 down with one of the second blocks on the top or bottom of each column to increase the depth. This is optional and if you prefer a square quilt just use the 12 blocks joined together as shown in the first lay out.
