Fabric - choose high contrast (Dark) and light (Low Volume) to give the most defined appearance, but shop from your scraps to make this a wonderful scrappy quilt with the look or an organized looking pattern.

The quilt shown in this video is 32 x 32" (without borders) by adding more columns and/or rows this can be made larger to fit what works for you.

The pattern uses 2 sizes -
2.5" squares
2.5 x 4.5" referred to as the Potato Chip format (center blocks can be substituted with a 4.5" square). In the video and pattern I try to maximize the number of 2.5x4.5 fabric sizes to be used, if you prefer to construct as single blocks (8.5 x 8.5" and 4.5 x 4.5") in rows you can certainly do it that way - instructions for this 2nd method are not included in the pattern.
