The Death Railway – The Burma Railway Tragedy

During World War II, more than 250,000 civilian laborers and over 60,000 Allied prisoners of war were forced to work under horrific conditions on the construction of the Burma Railway, later known as the “Death Railway.”

Built through dense jungle and unforgiving terrain, the railway became a symbol of suffering, starvation, disease, and brutality. During its construction, an estimated 90,000 Asian forced laborers and 12,000 Allied POWs lost their lives.

This documentary explores the human cost behind one of the darkest chapters of World War II in Asia, revealing the devastating realities faced by those trapped in the Japanese forced labour camps.

🔥 A harrowing story of survival, sacrifice, and wartime brutality.
