On board a Brighton Beach bound R68/R68A B train from Harlem-145 Street to Brighton Beach

Seen here is a ride on a R68/R68A mixed set, operating on the B line, bound for Brighton Beach.

Due to accessibility improvements at Church Avenue, B train service ran local from Prospect Park to Kings Hwy in both directions, thus bypassing Church Avenue via downtown side. Passengers who want service at Church Avenue would change at Beverley Rd to a Manhattan bound B or Q trains. B train service would resume express after Kings Highway, as Q train service remains normal after Kings Highway.

In the beginning of this video, as I was down on the lower level of the grand concourse, I was waiting for an R68A to come into the station on the middle track, but as the train came into the middle, well I did get me an R68A, however, this set was a mixed set, thus coupled with an R68 in the front and in the back is an R68A, which is rare since it does use the same coupling system to work around with, but the air release is different for both SMEEs, of which you can see in the title of this video that this is a R68/R68A B train. It’s lucky for me to get one since I have rode one on the N a couple years ago when I caught it at Coney Island. This ride was calm and peaceful, even though we were local due to accessibility work at Church Avenue, of which we bypassed to the next stop, but this ride was very pleasant for a mixed set to Brighton Beach.

In the end, this train would rush out of Brighton Beach as the start of PM rush hour since I didn’t make it to the end of the front of the platform, but this was in a hurry to head up to Bedford Park Blvd, even if the weather was bad out there, the ride was still perfect to the end.
