I’m a huge fan of Nirvana and this was a very sad day for me. I recorded hours of news reports and MTV coverage of Kurt Cobain’s death on VHS and have digitized some to make available on YouTube for posterity. All of the Nirvana performances and music videos shown on this day are available elsewhere on YouTube so they have been omitted from this video.

I was very lucky to see Nirvana live in concert in Birmingham, Alabama just a few months before Kurt’s death. It was the best concert I’ve ever seen and I’ll never forget it.
