Querying Your Filesystem with SQL - ClickHouse 26.5

ClickHouse 26.5 ships a filesystem() table function that lets you query file metadata - path, name, type, size, modification time - directly with SQL. No shell scripting required.

In this video, Mark builds on it to solve a real problem: finding and cleaning up large files on a machine used for recording videos.

- Describing the filesystem() table function and its columns
- Querying for files recursively, filtering by extension and modification time
- Finding the biggest .braw video files ordered by size
- Building a find-big-files Claude Code skill on top of the query
- Using Claude to roll up disk usage by directory and drill into a 200GB outlier
- Identifying a leftover dataset from the ClickHouse 26.4 release posts workflow
