LONGFORM.: Skooly of TRU Records sits for Live Conversation

LONGFORM. The livest conversation featuring Skooly, an Atlanta native and TRU Records (2 Chainz) artist, rose to fame as a teen in the rap group Rich Kidz. While establishing himself as a solo act, Skooly collaborated with a range of heavy hitters from Ludacris to Young Thug refining his sound and pioneering the southern sing-song rap we hear today.  

This year Skooly has joined forces with his mentor 2 Chainz under his TRU imprint with a distribution deal from Atlantic and together with the other TRU signees dropped a compilation album entitled “No Face No Case.” The project houses Skooly’s solo radio hit “Pop Off” and the one-two punch “Virgil Discount” featuring 2 Chainz that was just picked up by the MLB for licensed use in its MLB20 video game.
