A brighter day is expected across the UK today although not especially warm. Generally dry but light showers in the South West, parts of Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland and northern England. Temperatures slightly below the average, but pleasant in any sunny spells. Cooler especially in western areas with a slightly stronger breeze. Low pressure arrives overnight, with prolonged outbreaks of rain expected moving in from the west into tomorrow. - This is the Met Office UK weather forecast for the afternoon of 05/06/2026.
