Why scientists don't like Neuralink

Neuralink is an up and coming tech company with the goal to build brain-computer interface technology. With Elon Musk as it's CEO, it has become a hot topic in the science tech circles, but scientists have not been impressed by it. Why aren't scientists enthralled like most people? This is my attempt to answer that question.

Disclaimer: I am a PhD student studying neurobiology, but I am in no way an expert in the field. This is based on my experiences and research on the topic. It in no way reflects every scientist's opinion.
