1- Oxymercuration and demercuration method
2- Hydroboration oxidation method
3- Byhydration of alkene
4- Using aldehyde ,Ketone, ethylene oxide and Ester with Grignard reagent
5- Using alkyl halide by hydrolysis
6_ By reduction of aldehyde, Ketone and Ester
