Subnautica 2 Strong Acid Guide — Processor Blueprint, Necrolei Cysts & Crafting Recipe

Trying to make Strong Acid in Subnautica 2? In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to unlock the Processor blueprint, gather Necrolei Cysts, and craft Strong Acid so you can make important mid-game items like Power Cells, Fiber Mesh, advanced batteries, and the Rebreather.

Strong Acid is not crafted in the basic Lifepod Fabricator. You need to unlock and build a Processor first. Current guides say the Processor blueprint is unlocked by scanning a Processor at the Old Habitat / Welcome Home base roughly 350–370 meters north of the Lifepod, which is also tied into the NOA / black box questline.

The easiest early recipe for Strong Acid is:

2 Necrolei Cysts = 1 Strong Acid

Necrolei Cysts can be found north or northwest of the Lifepod in the glowing Necrolei / jellyfish forest area. They grow on green orb-shaped plants with glowing pink or purple tendrils, often called Stilt Orbs. You’ll need to harvest the cysts from the plant and then bring them back to your Processor.

Strong Acid is important because it is used in several progression recipes, including Power Cells, Advanced Batteries, Fiber Mesh, and other mid-game crafting. Power Cells are especially important because they are required for vehicle progression like the Tadpole mini-sub.
