Smart API for Salesforce | Test APIs Internally, Generate Apex Code, Use Gen AI

In this video, I introduce Smart API, a custom tool designed to test APIs directly inside Salesforce. With Smart API, you can easily set the HTTP method, URL, headers, and request body — and see live responses without switching between other tools.

This tool also supports Named Credentials, Remote Site Settings, and can automatically generate the Apex code for any API request you test.

One unique feature is the built-in Gen AI capability — simply type a prompt like ‘Make a callout to post something on LinkedIn’, and get complete API details instantly.

This saves time, reduces errors, and helps Salesforce developers and admins work more efficiently.
