Riverside County CA Carjacking Suspect Leads Police In High Speed Police Pursuit - March 7, 2020

A wild police pursuit Saturday traveled through Riverside County and eventually ended in the San Gabriel Valley after the suspect in a red minivan ran into a house in Monrovia, crashing into multiple vehicles and attempting to carjack vehicles Arcadia.

The suspect was wanted for carjacking following a road rage incident around 1:30 p.m. in Stanton, the Orange County Shieriff's Department said.

Newschopper4 Bravo was over the police chase around 3:55 p.m. in Riverside County near the city of Corona.

The red minivan appeared to have a damaged back bumper and was ignoring stop lights and speeding. At several points, the pursuit vehicle hit over 100 mph on the 15 Freeway.

The vehicle was driving in a construction zone, running over cones, on the inside of the 15 Freeway in Jurupa Valley.

The minivan was splitting vehicle and traveling at high speeds on the freeway. After traveling through the Baldwin Park and Irwindale areas, the minivan moved onto the 210 westbound in the Monrovia area.

The minivan continued to blow through red lights and ignore the rules of the road.

Then, the driver in the pursuit pulled over and jumped out of the minivan and ran into a house in Monrovia. A man could be seen in the backyard of the home when a woman ran out. The man and a dog appeared to chase the pursuit driver out of the home, and the driver retreated to the red minivan and continued the chase.

In the city of Arcadia, the driver attempted to split two vehicles stopped at a red light and crashed into both. After backing up, the man rammed both cars again before ditching the red minivan and running up an onramp of the 210 Freeway.

After running onto the freeway and failed in attempts to carjack more vehicles, police managed to get the suspect in a white shirt to surrender on the shoulder of the 210 Freeway.
