The purpose:
Hello, I’m Tiana Mae and I am a school based speech therapist. In speech therapy we target various areas such as: speech, language, and social communication. With my story time series my focus is language! Language includes both receptive and expressive skills. Receptive language is the ability to understand and comprehend language that you hear or read (reading comprehension, Wh- questions, understanding a story, etc.). Moreover, expressive language is the ability to express yourself via verbal or nonverbal communication (making comments, vocabulary, etc.).

My goal is to further the development of both of these skills through interactive reading, making learning both educational and fun!
