Talk: Art, science, and 'X-ray vision'

Uncover the hidden poetry woven into the fabric of everyday life at the intersection of science and photography with artist and experimentalist Hugh Turvey as he uses X-ray art to reveal the unseen beauty beneath the surface.

An Accredited Senior Imaging Scientist with the Royal Photographic Society and the first artist-in-residence at the British Institute of Radiology, he also serves on the judging panel for the Royal Society Publishing Photography Competition.

Driven by curiosity and a fascination with the hidden, Hugh challenges the idea that seeing is always believing. He will invite you to consider how appearances can be deceiving, as he shares his creative journey and how art and science became his lens for discovery.

The Royal Society is a Fellowship of many of the world's most eminent scientists and is the oldest scientific academy in continuous existence.
