York Minster is famous for being one of the largest and most magnificent Gothic cathedrals in Northern Europe, boasting a 2,000-year history and unparalleled medieval stained glass. Completed in 1472, it is renowned for its massive central tower, the Great East Window (largest expanse of medieval glass in the world), and the intricate Rose Window.
