Addressing a joint press conference with Vaishnaw at Nabanna ahead of a meeting on various state projects, Adhikari stated that relations between the state and the Centre have improved, paving the way for the speedy completion of railway projects; meanwhile, Suvendu remarked, "During the tenure of the previous Trinamool Congress government, there was a state of confrontation between the state and the Centre. Consequently, railway development in Bengal had stalled."
