But in 2014, Toyota shocked the world by breaking that record with a GT86, drifting 165 kilometers in Turkey.
BMW wasn’t about to back down. In 2017, they returned with a 600-horsepower F90 M5 and a game-changing mid-drift refueling system.
The result? 374 kilometers of continuous drifting, reclaiming the record and setting a new world-first for tandem drifts.
