Only the Savage Are Left #1 from Dark Horse Comics hits stores this week from writer Zack Kaplan and artist Stefano Raffaele. Five years after a virus begins turning people into feral monsters, society has split into civil camps whose members hide away and those in the wild who have embraced the cure and what comes with it. Our hero Ryder, a young, inexperienced camp dweller, has to venture into the wild to find his missing love interest Oaklynn.

In this review I dig into the world mechanics, the art, and a hero I'm not sure I like...yet.
