This was the second of two consecutive shows in Paris and the 20th time they’ve performed in the city. They also played the previous night with a different setlist.

Paying homage to one of their heroes, they brought up their friend Biff Byford from Saxon to sing on a cover of the classic Saxon cut Motorcycle Man. Metallica has a long history with Saxon going all the way back to March 1982 when they opened for Saxon at the Whisky a Go-Go. It was only the third Metallica gig ever.
