Surfing on Sydney Harbour - New Years Day 2026🏄🏻‍♂️🏄🏻‍♀️✨🎇

Secret Santa messaged me earlier today to let me know that people were surfing on Sydney Harbour and with my camera kit always charged and ready to go on a moment's notice, I jumped in an Uber immediately.

This rare occurrence of surfers on the Harbour occurs perhaps 1-2 times a year at most (it happened twice in 2025 that I can recall).

Multiple weather factors have to converge, including massive swells rolling through the 2km gap at The Heads, the entrance to Sydney Harbour.

Ticking this off my Novelty Wave Bingo card again for the 3rd time in 6 months! 😁✅ Perfect start to 2026! 🎉
