Using Claude Code to bulk edit Microsoft Fabric Notebooks

I am using Claude Code more and more often to help me develop objects in Microsoft Fabric.

One small use case is actually incredibly useful - have it bulk edit a lot of files all at once.

Today I go over a case where I had to change the order of two cells in a notebook, and then change the definition of a variable in one of those cells.

I had to go through 26 notebooks to complete this task. Doing so manually in Fabric would have taken hours, not mentioning the mind numbing type of work this actually is.

So, I synced the workspace with Git in Azure DevOps, opened it in Visual Studio Code, then had Claude Code do all the edits for me.

And within less than 10 minutes, all edits were made, checked, and published to Fabric.

Easy life!
