Kathmandu (Nepal), May 13 (ANI): Political tensions escalated in Nepal’s Parliament as lawmakers protested Prime Minister Balendra Shah’s continued absence during discussions on the government’s policy and programme for the next fiscal year. Opposition leaders disrupted proceedings, demanded Shah’s appearance in the House, and warned of further obstruction if he failed to address lawmakers directly. The controversy intensified after Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle was assigned to respond on behalf of the Prime Minister. Critics say Shah’s repeated absence undermines parliamentary accountability and democratic norms in Nepal.
