Producer Pioneers: Lucinda Chua breaks down her creative process

This next edition of Producer Pioneers features London-based artist Lucinda Chua, a singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist whose spellbinding pop compositions have found home on 4AD. In conversation with DEBONAIR, Chua unravels her musical journey, starting with her first Suzuki piano lesson at three years old, which morphed into a lifetime of experiments to transcend classical music.

Despite steps taken across the industry in recent years, the percentage of producers today that identify as women stands at just six percent. Led by Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy, Producer Pioneers shines a light on four brilliant women producers, giving them a platform to speak about their journey and creative process in a bid to inspire a new generation of non-male producers in electronic music.
