Resident capacity: 60, only women.

Facilities: Four meals daily for vegetarians and non-vegetarians, including tea and snacks twice a day. Special meals are available for diabetics or those on specific diets.

Recreational facilities: Television, library, games.

Medical care: A doctor visits the home every week. He is also available on call in the case of an emergency. If the residents need hospital care, JJ Hospital is nearby.

Cost: Concessions can be afforded to residents. If the person is in a dire financial situation, the cost can also be waived.

Are installments allowed? Yes, in deserving cases.

Application procedure: The person has to be medically fit and between 58 and 65 years. A managing committee will look at the applications and decide whether she can live at the home.

Can visitors stay overnight? Friends and family can visit residents in the morning from 10 am to 12 noon and in the evening from 4 to 6 pm. However, they are not allowed to stay overnight.
