An Hour's Worth Of Pure Logic!

We had a lot of requests following yesterday's video to try this puzzle - also by ahaupt. Simon does his best but this is not easy... try it here:

Rules: Normal sudoku rules apply except the nine regions aren’t 3x3 boxes but irregular shapes which need to be discovered. A number in the top left of a cell indicates the sum of the digits in that cell’s region that can be seen looking north, south, east and west from that cell (including the cell itself). Cells outside the same region obstruct the view. The cell with the clue in the top left counts only once in the sum.
