Reflux - Oxidation of Ethanol - Chemistry A-level Practial
Mrs Peers-Dent shows you how to carry out reflux to oxidise ethanol to ethanoic acid, and distil. Please note that in reality ethanoic acid has a boiling point of 118 degrees, so would have to be heated directly instead of in a water bath.
