A frontal system moving east will bring spells of heavy rain and strong winds through the morning. Brighter intervals will follow into the afternoon, but these will be accompanied by frequent, blustery showers, some heavy with a risk of thunder and hail. Particularly Shetland will start rather cloudy, but brighter conditions should develop by midday. Temperatures will remain fairly mild, widely reaching the high teens.
