Watercolor Painting | Tulip

Today I’ll be drawing some pink Tulips. The painting looks easy because of the flower’s simple structure, but it’s actually easy to mess up. There are two tips that I can suggest to help you avoid this problem.

First, I’ll neatly draw the silhouette of the flowers. I’ll start from the bottom then narrow the flower as I move to the top of the flower. After, I’ll carefully sketch the petals that are blooming.

Second, I’ll use thick paint for the shadows between the petals. Contrasting the dark shadows with the bright petals will make the painting look crisp.
