[Espgaluda II/エスプガルーダII] Tateha Arrange Lv. 99*99 ALL Clear (Score: 3,747,543,545) [CC Commentary]

Oh, Yagawa... One should ask which is more sadistic: Very difficult patterns or a ridiculous amount of dedication to unlock the hardest version of the content. I'd choose the former at any day! Don't get me wrong, Lv. 99*99 Arrange is pure fun, but once you grind the level 5 times daily, the fun diminishes. Naturally. Not to mention it won't count unless you 1cc it!

Espgaluda II Arrange turns the game into a polarity-based shmup. On the 1P side the normal shot erases blue bullets. Focus shot erases red bullets. On the 2P side it's the opposite. No, I didn't mention 2P out of a blue. It's relevant, but I'll explain later. Cancelling bullets will give you the kakusei gems, you will need to do not only to survive, but to survive more easily. The main flow is this: Reload the kakusei gem to max, Kakusei, fill the gold counter by cancelling out enemy bullets in kakusei, which you must remember the bullet cancelling properties from before is completely gone for obvious reasons, run out the kakusei to go to the over-kakusei mode, profit in the over-kakusei mode with almost-absolute defense. Rinse and repeat. The extends are quite kind and stuff, but doesn't mean it won't punish you from making mistakes, so despite the overall easiness it's a fascinating mode to pick up and play. The scoring strategies really vary too.

The worst thing is to attain Lv. 99*99. You must in total 1cc the game 198 TIMES! 99 times on 1P side, and 99 times on the 2P side. One run can be around 30 minutes. If you go for 5 times daily, it's almost 3 HOURS!!! Meanwhile the difference between Lv. 80*80 and Lv. 99*99 isn't that significant... The level is also per character, not overall!

I heard that you can skip lots of levels just by downloading then play the replay of a higher-level Arrange replay, but at the time of the Switch port's release, the online function is not active. So I had to do the hard way instead of waiting someone to do the job. Sigh...

How did I do it? Certainly concentrating for 3 hours straight is not a good idea, so I literally used a rubber band on my controller to auto-shot the game. Many buttons were assigned on the left hand so my right hand could do other things like working. The goal is to fill up to the full overkakusei then while it's active, I can just let the rubber band auto-shot do the job! For MONTHS.

If Arrange just let the max level automatically accessible right of the gate!
