If there’s one thing the ongoing crises have shown us,
it’s how dependent most of us are on systems we don’t control.

We take what’s available, even when prices go 2x or 5x.
We grab whatever the shelves give us.
Even if it’s not what we really want.
Even if we don’t know where it came from or how it was grown.

That’s what pushed me to start growing what I can.

I know I won’t grow everything,
but even a small part makes a difference.

It gives me a sense of security.
A bit more control.
More awareness of what I eat, with less waste along the way.
And a closer connection to my food.
