If you have ever wondered how to build a proper real estate listing website in WordPress without relying on bulky real estate themes or expensive plugins, this is the tutorial for you.

This is a complete three-part walkthrough that takes you from a blank WordPress installation to a fully functional real estate website where properties can be added and managed without touching the page builder at all.

We start in Part 1 by building a custom header and footer using Elementor on the Hello Elementor theme. Most beginners skip this step and end up with a generic-looking site that does not match the rest of their design. Getting this right from the beginning means everything that comes after will look consistent and professional.

Part 2 is where things get interesting. We create a custom post type for property listings using Secure Custom Fields (SCF) and set up all the fields a real listing needs, including price, bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets, property type, listing type, location, amenities, and a full property gallery. Once this is set up, adding a new property to the website works like filling out a simple form, which means your client can manage their own listings without calling you.

In Part 3, we build the single property page template in Elementor. This is a dynamic template that automatically pulls in all the custom field data and displays it correctly for every property on the site. You build it once and it works for every listing automatically.
