Saving a 79 C10 that has been sitting 15 plus years?? Is it worth the effort

Figure i would drag this 1979 chevrolet c10 out from the bush row and see if it is worth the effort to drive it. Picked it up several years ago and never did anything with it Just placed it out on the truck row for further review lol. I was told it had sat for a few years before i picked it up to use as parts or cruise around lol. Was told transmission might not be the greatest but judging be the trans dipstick... not convincing it'll be ok. But will try it as it is.
