Diecast Restoration - Siku 1982 Ford Sierra 2.3 Ghia

A quick restoration done on a Siku 1/55 scale 1982 Ford Sierra 2.3 V6 Ghia, acquired from a swap meet, that had seen many hours of use by previous owners since the 80s.

This is one of a number of videos in the pipeline showing diecast cars being 'freshened up'. In contrast to others this was a more straightforward fixup, the car being disassembled, sanded down and resprayed - etch primer, colour coats and clear coat.

While the interior and underbody were not detailed, they were given a good cleanout under soapy water. As it was, this is quite a solid toy, the unpainted underbody also being diecast.
Ignore the pinholes in the bonnet near the end, they were fixed using Tamiya clear after this was shot.
