Simone Rocha On Ten Years Of Her Label | The Extra Mile With Edward Enninful | British Vogue & BMW

It has been 10 years since fashion designer Simone Rocha first launched her eponymous label and “some days it feels like everything has changed and some days it feels like nothing has,” she tells British Vogue's editor-in-chief Edward Enninful in the latest video from The Extra Mile series, in partnership with BMW.
The biggest difference between now and then? The community Rocha has grown. "My ideas now go to a lot more people,” she says. Then, of course, there's the fact that she has become a mother to two daughters in that time, which has both altered and inspired her attitude to work. The 35-year-old’s most recent collection was all about "birthing and nursing and taking off the sheen of motherhood and exploring the insomnia, the reality, but also the beauty [of it]. My work has always been very personal. It's reflective of emotion and there's nothing more emotional than being a mother.”
