Vectors vs. Scalars

What vectors are vs. scalars, and some examples we will use at the start of this class (speed vs. velocity, distance vs. displacement).

Magnitude is the word that throws everyone off. Magnitude is just a fancy word for "how much." If you are ever asked for the magnitude of a vector, all it means is the numerical value (you don't need to add a direction or sign, because all you were asked for is the magnitude).
