Film Music Form

This is the first entry in a series of Video Essays on Film Music Theory and Production. These classes are all adapted from my lecture materials teaching film sound and music production classes at NYU and CUNY. Later videos will be exploring production and workflow techniques, but before getting into how to MAKE film music, this video will explore how to USE film music. This video looks at the form that film music takes and how it can change the perspective of the audience.
