Episode 88: EASY Bead Scrappy Potato Chip Quilt #quilting #scrapquilt #diy

This has been a fun and beginner friendly quilt, and a great way to use from your scraps and jelly roll strips. I have a collection of 2.5 x 4.5" fabric which is also know as the most popular potato chip size to work with (my personal favorite). Use colors or patterns that work for you, after all it is your quilt if you choose to use this FREE pattern.

The following fabric chart is based on using two colors with a Low Volume (light color) background. The border will be listed separately – and you use what works for you and your stash.
For the blocks there are two sizes of fabrics, you could use a larger size format to produce a larger sized quilt without making more blocks (for example 3.5 x 6.5 or 4.5 x 8.5).
Using 2.5 x 4.5 Potato Chips the unfinished size (with borders is 36” x 34”) - add more inside beads to make wider and/or outside beads to make longer.

Purple Beads Size 2.5 x 4.5”
Quantity 36 (30 dark and 6 light purple)

Pink Beads Size 2.5 x 4.5:
Quantity 36 (30 dark and 6 light pink)

Background Low Volume (light fabric):
Quantity 40 Size 2.5 x 4.5”
Quantity 6 Size 2.5 x 2.5”

BORDER: As Shown Quilt Size 40” x 38”
Light Purple Quantity 5 @ 2.5 x 4.5”
Light Pink Quantity 5 @ 2.5 x 4.5”
Light Yellow using various strip lengths
Quantity 4 @ 2.5” x 4.5”
Quantity 4 @ 2.5 x 8.5” (or 8 @ 2.5 x 4.5”)
Quantity 2 @ 2.5 x 10.5” (or 4 @ 2.5 x 4.5” plus 2 @ 2.5 x 2.5”)
Quantity 4 @ 2.5 x 6.5” (or 4 @ 2.5 x 4.5” plus 4 @ 2.5 x 2.5”)
