Safety Issue TidRadio H8 Ver 2. 10w Ham Radio HT. Review and Live Test in Two States.
First thing first, this radio got super hot on the battery external dots used for charging while I had the transmit button depressed. I had my hand wrapped around the radio and was touching those dots while transmitting and it got really hot. If you want to jump straight to that part its right around 22 minutes into the video when I was in Austin, TX.
Now as far as the regular video description I am trying out the TidRadio HT called the H8 which is a 10w HT for amateur radio and it was donated to me by TidRadio for the purposes of doing a review on it. It has an internal bluetooth programmer so you can program repeaters on the fly from different locations. My first use will be at my QTH in Colorado and then I will head to Austin, TX and program in some local repeaters near Austin using the OdMaster APP and the internal programmer to write those local repeaters to the radio.
Good, bad, or indifferent lets see what happens.
