Macbeth Act III scene i (Detailed commentary and analysis)
Detailed commentary and analysis by Claire’s Notes of Act III, scene i of Macbeth
Macbeth seems unusually interested in the details of Banquo's proposed ride this afternoon, wanting to know for how long and how far he is going, as well as who he is going with. He makes a point of insisting that Banquo attend the feast later that evening. He dismisses everyone attending on him, saying he will be spending the afternoon alone...but as soon as they are gone, his servant admits two Murderers. Whatever can he be up to?
